Hostel & Accommodation

IA School of Management Studies provides comfortable and secure hostel accommodation for students who wish to reside near the campus. Separate housing and dining facilities are available for male and female students in hostels established exclusively for the Indian Academy Group of Institutions.

Each room is well-ventilated, adequately lit, and furnished with essential amenities. Additional facilities include reading rooms, indoor sports areas, and hygienic dining halls serving freshly prepared meals. Trained wardens oversee the smooth functioning of the hostels, supported by 24-hour security personnel. Hostel admissions are based on availability and the institution’s admission norms.

The IASMS Library

The IA School of Management Studies (IASMS) Library and Information Centre stands as a vital hub supporting the academic and research pursuits of students, faculty, and scholars. Known for its commitment to academic excellence, the library plays an integral role in fostering a culture of learning, inquiry, and innovation.

Spread across two floors, each measuring 450 sq. meters (totaling 2,352 sq. ft.), the library provides comfortable seating for 175 students and houses 42 computers for digital resource access. The collection comprises a wide range of textbooks, reference materials, research reports, theses, dissertations, and rare works, including palm-leaf manuscripts.

Upgraded to Easylib 6.4a Cloud Version, the library’s automation software allows seamless browsing, reservations, and borrowing. IASMS students and faculty also have access to e-resources such as DELNET, N-List, NDL, e-PG Pathshala, J-Gate Database, and DrillBit Anti-Plagiarism software. The entire facility is monitored with high-resolution surveillance to ensure security and smooth operations.

  • To build and maintain an up-to-date collection of books, journals, reports, and digital content relevant to management studies and research.
  • To organize conventional and digital information sources systematically for efficient retrieval and service.
  • To disseminate current and retrospective information through documentation lists, bibliographies, and awareness services.
  • To provide specialized services such as photocopying, preprint and reprint procurement, and reference assistance.
  • To adopt modern information technologies for faster access, storage, and retrieval.
  • To actively participate in resource-sharing initiatives through DELNET and INFLIBNET.

Sports & Games

IA School of Management Studies recognizes the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between academics and sports. The institution actively promotes student participation in both indoor and outdoor sports to foster teamwork, discipline, and holistic development.

 

Facilities are available for football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, throwball, kho-kho, and kabaddi, along with indoor games such as table tennis, chess, and carrom. Sports activities are coordinated by a qualified Physical Education Director who organizes inter-college competitions and state-level events, encouraging excellence in sports alongside academics.

Lecture halls at IA School of Management Studies are designed to ensure comfort, ventilation, and functionality. Each hall is equipped with modern furniture, ICT infrastructure, and multimedia plug-and-play facilities to support interactive learning and presentations.

Board Room

The Board Room at IA School of Management Studies serves as a key venue for strategic discussions and decision-making. It hosts meetings related to institutional planning, academic reviews, and quality enhancement initiatives.

Equipped with modern conferencing facilities, the Board Room accommodates up to 20 members and is also utilized by the Placement Cell for corporate meetings and interview sessions.

Grievance Redressal Committee

Objectives

The Grievance Redressal Committee at IA School of Management Studies is established to foster a responsive and accountable environment, ensuring a harmonious and respectful atmosphere within the institution. The committee addresses concerns raised by MBA students with the following objectives:

  • To uphold the dignity of the institution by maintaining a peaceful and supportive environment that encourages positive student–student and student–teacher relationships.
  • To create a safe platform for students to voice their grievances or concerns freely and confidently, without fear of discrimination or victimization.
  • To promote mutual respect, patience, and understanding among students, encourage them to handle differences amicably and constructively.

Mechanism

Once a grievance is submitted, the committee reviews, addresses, and resolves the issue promptly.

Anti-Ragging Cell

In line with the guidelines issued by the Government and the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Notification No. F-16/2009(CPP-II) dated 21-10-2009 on curbing ragging in higher educational institutions, the IA School of Management Studies (IASMS) maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward ragging.

The Anti-Ragging Cell, established in 2016, is dedicated to preventing, prohibiting, and eliminating any form of ragging within the campus. The cell ensures that students study in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. Ragging is recognized as a serious criminal offense by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, and IASMS has been successful in maintaining a ragging-free campus through continuous vigilance and awareness initiatives.

Objectives of the Anti-Ragging Cell

  • To uphold and comply with the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court and remain alert to any incidents that may constitute ragging.
  • To make students aware of the laws and disciplinary actions applicable to those involved in ragging.
  • To review complaints received from students, conduct prompt inquiries, and submit reports and recommendations to the Anti-Ragging Committee.
  • To implement preventive measures across the campus and hostels to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
  • To provide counseling support and conduct awareness sessions on the harmful effects of ragging and the importance of mutual respect.

Empowering communities through equal opportunity.

SC/ST Cell

Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) form two historically disadvantaged groups within Indian society, recognized under Articles 341 and 342 of the Indian Constitution. Together, they represent more than one-fifth of the country’s population.

The primary objective of providing reservations for these communities extends beyond employment opportunities and representation. It aims to enhance their social and educational status, ensuring equal participation and access to opportunities in all spheres.

In alignment with the UGC’s directive to establish SC/ST Cells in colleges and universities, the IA School of Management Studies (IASMS) set up its SC/ST Cell in 2018. The Cell ensures the effective implementation of reservation policies in admissions and recruitment, while also facilitating financial assistance from government agencies and other sources.

Furthermore, the Cell actively encourages students from these communities to participate in career orientation programs, helping them build essential skills, gain confidence, and make informed c choices.

Examination Grievance Redressal Committee

The IA School of Management Studies (IASMS) has constituted an Internal Examination Grievance Redressal Committee to facilitate effective communication between students and faculty in all matters related to continuous evaluation and examinations.

The purpose of this committee is to foster a sense of accountability among students during examinations and to ensure transparency and fairness in all internal assessment processes.

Objectives

  • To provide MBA students with a formal platform to express their examination-related grievances.
  • To create awareness about examination policies and procedures among students.
  • To address and resolve concerns about the conduct and evaluation of examinations.
  • To maintain a transparent and student-centric approach in examination-related matters.
