Library

Our libraries are designed to accommodate a variety of learning styles, ranging from open spaces for group projects to tech-enabled reading rooms and quiet study areas. Students and researchers who learn differently and at different speeds can benefit from the curated collections, journal access, and digital infrastructure. From standard course textbooks and reference materials to cutting-edge research literature, the Indian Academy Library and Information Centre has a vast collection of titles covering a wide range of subjects. The library also has subscriptions to a large number of disciplinary periodicals and research journals, which are updated frequently in response to suggestions from the Library Advisory Committee and staff.

Ready-reference assistance, locker facilities, computer-assisted retrieval, and interlibrary loan options, including partnerships with esteemed organisations like the British Library, are just a few of the services that IAGI Libraries provide to enable easy access to reference material. The Easy Lib Library Automation Software streamlines and automates these libraries for effective administration and accessibility.

Students and staff can access resources from other public libraries’ databases, and e-learning portals such as the National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources (NISCAIR), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), and the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), in addition to the traditional library resources.

State-of-the-art Labs

Our laboratories support a wide range of disciplines with robust infrastructure and essential equipment. These spaces are actively used for experiential learning and combining experimentation with research. Departments such as Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Microbiology, Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, Electronics, and Psychology have access to fully equipped labs featuring high-end instrumentation. Dedicated Language and Business/Commerce Labs further expand our hands-on learning ecosystem.

These facilities are designed to foster a strong research culture among both students and faculty. Advanced labs in Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, and Genetic Engineering offer cutting-edge environments for specialised exploration.

We also take pride in our state-of-the-art Nursing Labs. Built to simulate real-world clinical settings, these labs are equipped with modern technology and simulation tools to help nursing students develop practical skills. Here, they can refine patient care techniques, practise procedures, and navigate complex healthcare scenarios in a safe, controlled environment.

Digital Lecture Halls

Our lecture halls are purposefully built with attention to comfort, natural ventilation, and the amenities today’s learners need.

Each space features ergonomically designed, contemporary furniture to support long hours of focused learning. State-of-the-art ICT systems are seamlessly integrated, along with intuitive multimedia plug-and-play AV equipment, so that teaching flows smoothly, and learning stays uninterrupted.
