The Governing Council of IA School of Management Studies comprises distinguished academicians, industry experts, successful entrepreneurs, and members nominated by Bengaluru North University. The institution offers its MBA programs under Bangalore University.
The Governing Council oversees all academic and administrative matters, playing a vital role in ensuring that IASMS continues to deliver quality education that meets the expectations of all stakeholders. Each meeting focuses on aligning academics and related initiatives with the evolving needs of employers.
A key area of deliberation for the Council is the enhancement of teaching methodologies and the continuous upgrading of the curriculum to reflect industry demands. From a single institution to a leading education group empowering future leaders.
The Indian Academy Group of Institutions was established in 1994 by the Indian Academy Education Trust, located on Hennur Main Road in Bangalore, Karnataka. The group comprises an autonomous degree college, a school of management studies, a pre-university college, a nursing school, and an evening college.
The Trust was founded and is chaired by Dr. Thummala Somasekhar, a professor and scientist who has held academic and research positions at Bangalore University (India), the University of Southern California (Los Angeles), the University of Illinois (Chicago), and Ohio State University (Columbus) before returning to Bangalore.
The IA School of Management Studies (IASMS), established in 2004, is recognized as one of the leading business schools in the region. It offers a holistic education that empowers young management graduates with the knowledge and confidence to thrive in today’s competitive business world.
Since its inception, IASMS has focused on academic excellence, value-added learning, and extracurricular engagement, creating a supportive environment that encourages the overall growth of its students.
